Happy Birthday Sweet Roo!

Today is Rachie Roo's 1st birthday! We had a small party with family yesterday, and here are some photos! Rachael had her first tiny bit of cake and icing (literally a teaspoon or so) and it upset her stomach (we think that was it). She started crying around 7pm and cried for almost 2 hours (very unlike Rachael...she is such a good baby). She can't burp, because of her surgery, so she had horrible gas pains (we think) and just cried and cried. I almost wanted to take her to Medical City Emergency room because I didn't know what was wrong with her (we still aren't really sure...we just suspected the cake icing). She finally settled down around 10pm, and so did we.
Rachael-and Emma-got some neat gifts and Emma is still playing with them and having a grand time. Happy Birthday Sweet Roo!!

Eli's Dinosaur party!

Emma's best boyfriend, Eli, had a birthday party Sunday at the children's museum. The kids got to "dig for bones" in the dinosaur area, and Emma had a blast. She especially enjoyed eating cupcakes afterwards! Rachael was a bit cranky, so we left after the party, but will return someday soon to check out the rest of the museum.

Emma's art show!

Emma, her cool pink artwork, and her awesome teacher, Kathey

Tucking into ice-cream and sprinkles! Yum!

Emma's school held an art show and ice cream social last week, and my little artist wanted to wear a special dress to her first "art opening." (mommy believes there will be many more in her future!!!) We love Emma's teacher, Kathey, and she loves Emma, too. We are so lucky to have her, and she'll be at camp all summer!!! Yay, Kathey!!

Pregnant...again

For those of you not on facebook, I am pregnant again. I am only 7 weeks at this point and no, it was not planned...
We were honestly in shock when we found out, but we are getting used to the idea. Who even knows what will happen, since I miscarried in November. We figure it's all in God's hands. I have been very sick and tired, so haven't had the energy to post anything on my blog, never mind put up photos. I have taken a bunch of photos, and maybe when I start feeling a bit better, I'll put them up. Those of you who know me well, know that I have AWFUL pregnancies, so I am not looking forward to the next 9 months! I always think, this one will be different. I won't have morning sickness (just like my ma, she was such a trooper). But alas, seems like I am already sick and tired.
The family is doing well... Emma is getting ready for summer camp, Rachael is getting stronger and we are all looking foward to swimming in our pool this summer. More updates soon...I hope!
